How do I create a csv file?

A simple way of creating a csv file is by using Microsoft Excel. Create a new excel spreadsheet and using the first column for the question text, and the second column for the answer text, fill out the information for your cards. Each line will represent one card. When you are finished and saving your file, make sure to select the “CSV (Comma delimited)” under “Save as type”.

How do I send a csv file to my device?

Two ways you can send files to your device are by using Airdrop or by emailing the file to yourself. If emailing, open the email on your device and select the attachment to save it to your device. Both methods will allow you to “Save to Files”. The import feature of the Flashcards app will allow you to browse and select documents from your Files app.

How can I share a deck?

The ability to share decks can be unlocked by subscribing.

If you are not yet subscribed, you can do so by going to the menu and tapping “Upgrade options”.

After subscribing, select the deck you want to share. Tap the “Share” option.

Select a name for the deck and click “OK”. Then select how you would like to send the deck. Most applications will send only the deck file, but if you select a mail application, the message will be pre-populated with the app download link as well as a link to this FAQ to help with opening the file in the app if needed.

The app will then open with the received deck. This received deck will be saved to the app once opened.

To view the list of your received decks, tap “Decks” option. Any opened decks will be shown under the “Received decks” header.

Can I edit decks that I received?

Received decks can only be viewed/used unless the one-time upgrade is purchased. Once purchased, you will be allowed to make any changes to the deck or cards you would like.

Do I have to subscribe to receive decks?

No - receiving and using a deck is free. If using the non-upgraded version of the app, the settings and setup of a received deck can only be viewed/used. Purchasing the one-time upgrade allows you to make changes to received decks.

How can I learn about future updates and support the app?

I've created a ko-fi page! This page will contain posts about new features and releases to my apps and new ones in the works! If you'd like, there is also the option to show some support. There is no obligation though, and you are able to view and comment on posts for free. You can visit the ko-fi page by using the button link below.
